Professional Development and Training

Opportunities to continue to learn, grow, and transform are critical in today’s ever-changing environment and is the hallmark of what we represent as an institution of higher education, committed to student learning and success. We believe that knowledge is power and we strive to assist Foundation employees enhance their performance and effectiveness within their current and future roles.


Our Professional Development and Training program consists of multiple areas: New Hire Orientation, Effective Leadership, Professional growth, Business Operations (Department Specific), and Compliance.

Foundation Human Resources conducts orientation to align every new hire with the tools and resources necessary to achieve success in their careers at CSUDH Foundation. All new hires complete orientation prior to beginning any work for the organization.

To minimize the risk of legal exposure all Foundation employees are required to take certain courses to comply with federal, state, and CSU Policy.

The Leadership development series reinforces leadership principles, core competencies, team building, excellent communication, and leadership behaviors. Foundation provides virtual facilitation of the Principles of Supervision training annually.

Employees have access to free online professional development courses, books, and videos through CSU Learn. There are a wide variety of topic available from customer services, communication, and team building. Use the Login button at the top of the page to access CSU Learn.

Suggested Courses and Bundles
